I started smoking when I was around 15. I’ll be 41 in September.
I’ve decided that it’s about time I properly quit. I’ve never really tried before, I wore patches at the beginning of the year but just took them off when I got home from work and had a fag.
Since I became a Dad, I have responsibilities to stay alive and to not smoke.
My friend Gareth, started taking these in January and has not smoked since.
I’m a bit worried about the side effects so if I do go a bit mental over the next few weeks, it’s the Champix.
Cath gave up when she got pregnant with Eleanor and just tells me to stop without taking any “Brain Drugs" made by Pfizer but I am very weak willed.
Let’s see how I get on, I’ve not started taking them yet but plan to after next weekend.
The best side effect is vivid dreams, the worst is suicidal tendencies…….
